Krystie

Owner - Hydrotherapist of 10 Years

Krystie started receiving colonics in 2009 shortly after being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 20 years of age. Krystie has suffered from drug, alcohol & food addiction, companied with disordered eating and yoyo dieting as a teenager and into her 20’s, which greatly affected her body, especially gut health. When Krystie first got “into” colonics, she was using them more as a 'quick fix' and she didn’t really understand the immense health benefits associated, however, the more colonics Krystie received, the more she learned about the body and how food choices and gut health not only affect us physically, but emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

As Krystie continues on her health journey, she followed her passion becoming a Colon Hydrotherapist, with her vision “Changing the world, cleaning one colon at a time”. Krystie has been trained in now, three disciplines of colon hydrotherapy; the first was using a pressurised/machine colonic system, the second was a Gravity system and lastly using the Woods Gravity Method, which she now uses at Gravity Colon Therapy, as this method is the most intuitive and and most effective. Krystie has found that having studied across multiple disciplines in Colon Hydrotherapy, this has been a wonderful opportunity and feels she has a lot to offer to her clients. Krystie opened up her own clinic, the very first (and only) in Queensland using the Woods Gravity Method, based in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane, where she and her team of therapists provide an amazing Colon Hydrotherapy service to all clients.

In June 2021, Krystie expanded by opening a 2nd location, 1 hour 15 drive away, on the Gold Coast. After 8 months of hustling to build the client base, travelling between the two locations, managing multiple staff, as well as treating clients, she realised she’d been spreading herself too thin, resulting in adrenal fatigue & major burn out. Humbled by the experience, Krystie realised that success didn’t actually mean expansion and growing bigger, success simply meant peace. Krystie decided to sell the Gold Coast clinic to one of her staff, Kathy, who took over in March 2022. Krystie is now able to treat more clients in Brisbane, which is the part of the business that she loves the most, whilst working towards a more peaceful and nurturing lifestyle.
